
Michal Vajdička
Michal Vajdička is a renowned Slovak theatre director known for his distinctive style that blends humor, tension, and sharp psychological insight. He graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU) and has become one of the most prominent directors of his generation.
His work transcends Slovak borders – he regularly collaborates with leading Czech theatres, including Dejvické divadlo (Resurrection, We Lost Stalin), the National Theatre in Prague (White Water), and the National Theatre in Brno. Among his best-known productions are the cult hit Ucpanej systém (winner of the Alfréd Radok Award), as well as The End of the Red Man, Hamlet, Othello, and Waiting for Godot.
