Marek Doubrava

Marek Doubrava is a Czech musician, composer, and guitarist. He studied composition at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague. From 1995 to 2000, he was a guitarist in the popular music band Tata Bojs. He is currently best known for the music group Hm..., which he co-founded and which creatively sets classic Czech and world poetry to music. He has long and regularly composed music for theatre productions throughout the country. His work can thus often be heard, for example, at Divadlo v Dlouhé in Prague or at Divadlo Minor, which focuses on children's audiences. Doubrava is also intensely dedicated to creating for children and, as a choirmaster, vocally leads the large instrumental ensemble Doubravánek.
