    Ota Jirák

Ota Jirák is a Czech dubbing actor, comedian, and entertainer. He is well known for his distinctive, honey-colored deep bass voice, which he first used as the character Hele in the children’s TV program Studio Kamarád. After studying puppetry at DAMU in Prague, where he began as a puppeteer, he joined the theatre troupe Cirkus Alfred Ctibor Turba (1973–1983) and later performed at Boris Hybner’s GAG Studio (1980–1985). He also appeared twice in František Ringo Čech’s Prozatímní divadlo, guest-starred at Semafor Theatre in the early 1990s, and since 2003 has been a member of the Municipal Theatre in Mladá Boleslav. Ota Jirák became famous as a voice actor. His most iconic dubbing roles include the alien Alf in the American sitcom ALF, the mammoth Manny in Ice Age, the villainous Uncle Stan in Gravity Falls, Obelix in Asterix and the Vikings, and Tigger in Winnie the Pooh. He has also appeared in TV series such as Nováci, Ordinace v růžové zahradě 2, and plays Martin Popelka in the popular series Slunečná.
