Pavel Zatloukal
Pavel Zatloukal is the quiet, kind and widely respected doyen of the Husa na provázku Theatre, where he put down roots in 1974 after earlier engagements in Český Těšín, Jihlava and Uherské Hradiště. He is one of the ensemble’s most steadfast personalities, and his natural, deeply truthful acting has shaped “Provázek” for several decades. Audiences know him not only from the stage, but also from films such as Balada pro banditu, The Inheritance or Kurvahošigutntag, and Bored in Brno, in which he left an unmistakable mark.
Outside the theatre, he is a lover of good tea, wine and photography – he is even one of the founders of one of the first tearooms in Brno. His colleagues often describe him as “the quiet heart of the ensemble” or “Provázek’s friendliest actor,” a man with the rare talent to make the world around him feel calmer.
