Miloslav Štibich
An unforgettable figure of the Činoherní klub. Although he never studied acting and originally worked as a props master and stage manager, he eventually appeared in many small roles. He performed, for example, in the cabaret shows of the author duo Jan Vodňanský and Petr Skoumal, which were staged at the Činoherní klub at the turn of the 1960s and 70s. He also appeared in The Government Inspector, Candide, and The Cherry Orchard.
In the 1970s, he became a favourite of director Jiří Menzel, thanks to whom he played some of the audience’s most beloved film characters: the chairman of the collective farm in Seclusion Near a Forest (Na samotě u lesa) and Kalina in My Sweet Little Village (Vesničko má středisková).
