    Miroslav Horníček

Miroslav Horníček was a legendary Czech actor, writer, and master of improvisation who connected theatre, film, and television. He rose to fame at Divadlo ABC alongside Jan Werich, where their famous forbíny (comedy sketches) defined the style of intelligent Czech humor. Audiences remember him from films such as Once Upon a Time, There Was a King and A Well-Paid Walk. On television, he captivated viewers in shows like Hovory H, Funny Stories from Filming, Where Has the Old Song Gone, and the iconic series There Were Once Two Scribes. Critics called him the “gentleman of Czech humor” and a “great improviser.” Miroslav Horníček remains one of the greatest figures of Czech culture, with humor that never ages.
