    Lubomír Kostelka was a Czech actor known to audiences from dozens of films, TV series, and stage roles. After graduating from JAMU, he worked at the Mrštík Brothers Theatre, the ABC Theatre alongside Jan Werich, and the Prague City Theatres. On the big screen, he appeared in classics such as If a Thousand Clarinets, Stormy Wine, Melancholic Chicken, Autumn Spring, and the popular Babovřesky series. TV audiences loved him in Life at the Chateau, We Were Five, and Kouzelná školka (The Magic Kindergarten), where he became one of its iconic faces. The media often referred to him as the “king of small roles,” which he could turn into unforgettable moments. Lubomír Kostelka remains a symbol of gentle humor and honest acting that resonated with generations of viewers.
