Václav Havelka

Václav Havelka is a Czech musician, composer, and author of stage music who moves between the alternative music scene and theatre art. He is the frontman of the acclaimed band Please The Trees and a composer for leading Czech theatres, collaborating with Dejvické divadlo, the National Theatre, Divadlo na zábradlí, and Divadlo v Dlouhé. His music can be heard in productions such as August: Osage County, Dogville, The Stone, and Resurrection, which he co-created with Martin Tvrdý. His signature lies in a keen sense of rhythm, the ability to build tension, and the creation of subtle atmospheres that enhance the story.
