Ivo Niederle

Ivo Niederle was a Czech actor, TV host, and publicist who left an indelible mark on audiences with his charisma, elegance, and subtle humor. A graduate of DAMU, he performed on stage in Teplice, Karlovy Vary, and especially at Prague’s ABC Theatre, where he became one of the ensemble’s most distinctive faces. Audiences remember him from productions of both classical and modern playwrights, as well as from television and film – he appeared in series such as Train of Childhood and Hope, Sins for Father Knox, and in the fairy tale The Devil’s Brother-in-Law. He was also unforgettable as a host of radio and television shows. The media often described him as “the gentleman of Czech acting.”
