Vladimír Hrubý
Vladimír Hrubý was a Czech actor associated with the Satire Theatre, the ABC Theatre, and later the Prague Municipal Theatres. A graduate of DAMU, he became a distinctive figure of Czech theatre and film thanks to his slim build, striking features, and characteristic raspy voice. On stage, he portrayed roles such as Želmír in Hadrián of the Romans, Kroužilka in The Lantern, and the title role in National Hero Julius Fučík. In film and television, he became known for his comic and supporting roles – for example, as the devil Drápal in the fairy tale Give the Devil His Due (S čerty nejsou žerty) or in Dařbuján and Pandrhola.
