Jana Drbohlavová
Jana Drbohlavová (1940–2019) was a prominent Czech actress and voice artist, a longtime pillar of Prague’s ABC Theatre and the ensemble of the Prague City Theatres. After graduating from DAMU, she quickly rose to prominence thanks to her distinctive expression, gentle humour and unmistakable voice. Audiences loved her as Mrs Pešková in the fairy-tale film The Girl on the Broomstick, from the cult series Arabela, and for her iconic dubbing roles (such as Nscho-tschi or Professor Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter films). On the stages of the Prague City Theatres, she created numerous memorable roles and became one of the most frequently cast actresses of her generation.
