Jan Beneš

Jan Beneš is a Czech choreographer, dancer, and lighting designer. Born and raised in Karlín, Prague, he graduated from the prestigious Duncan Centre Conservatory in Prague and the Laban Centre in London. He began his professional career as a technician and dancer with the international dance company DEJA DONNE. As a choreographer and performer behind projects like K bydlení nevhodné and Polaris, he enjoys blending physical theatre with visual arts. Since 2005, he has also been organizing the well-known physical theatre showcase Domácí Úkoly z Pilnosti.
