Juraj Kukura
Juraj Kukura is a Slovak theatre and film actor, director and theatre manager who ranks among the most prominent personalities of the Slovak, Czech and Central European stage. He graduated in acting from the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava and soon became one of the leading figures of Slovak theatre. He performed at the Slovak National Theatre and other major stages and later established an international career, especially in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Since 2002 he has served as director of Arena Theatre in Bratislava, transforming it into a modern repertory stage focused on strong acting personalities and powerful dramatic themes. In addition to acting, he also works as a director and producer. Audiences know him from films such as TrhÔk and BožskÔ Ema, and from television series including Inspector Max and Dokonalý svet.
Juraj Kukura has portrayed dozens of stage and screen characters and is known for his strong presence and authority. He is often described in the media as a ācharismatic actor of European stature.ā
