Janne Teller

Janne Teller is an internationally acclaimed Danish author, essayist, and activist of Austrian-German descent, whose novels and theatrical adaptations top international popularity charts. Originally a macroeconomist, she worked as a consultant for the UN and the European Union, resolving humanitarian conflicts around the world. Since 1995, she has dedicated herself fully to literary writing. Her works, which often spark controversial and passionate debates while receiving awards both in Denmark and globally, have been translated into more than 30 languages. She gained global fame with her philosophical and provocative young adult novel Nothing (Intet), which has been staged with immense success on international as well as Czech theatre scenes.
