Roman Hoza
Roman Hoza is one of the most sought-after Czech opera singers of the younger generation and a renowned baritone. He received his musical education at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno, later expanding his horizons at the prestigious university in Vienna and the opera studio in Düsseldorf, Germany. He is a laureate of the Antonín Dvořák International Vocal Competition. Currently, he is a permanent soloist of the Janáček Opera of the National Theatre Brno, performing key baritone roles. He regularly guest stars at the National Theatre in Prague, the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, and the Slovak National Theatre. He also left a significant mark at the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice in the successful production of Handel's oratorio Messiah. He excels in the classical Mozart repertoire and the historically informed performance of early music. He has sung on numerous European stages, valued for his vocal timbre and natural charisma.
