
Marek Zákostelecký
A theatre set designer, director, visual artist and musician. After studying at DAMU in Prague, he began working in 1994 as a scenographer at the puppet theatre Divadlo Drak in Hradec Králové. From 1999 to 2013, he also worked there as head of design. He has collaborated — and continues to collaborate — with numerous Czech and international theatres. Audiences are familiar with his work in many countries (for example in the USA, Israel, Denmark, Australia…), and he has also led educational seminars and creative workshops abroad.
As a director and scenographer, Marek Zákostelecký has contributed to many award-winning productions. He also focuses on interior design.
