Ivo Marták
Ivo Marták is a popular Czech actor who found his way to theatre in a rather unconventional way. Before stepping on stage, he worked as a freezer warehouseman, a steel-hook operator at Nová Huť and even in a mine. Everything changed thanks to a story told by an unknown woman on a train — a moment that set him on his artistic path. After studying at a local arts school, attending acting courses and later the private acting school of Milena Asmanová, he was selected in 1998 by director Jarmila Hájková to join the ensemble of Divadlo loutek Ostrava. He spent a short time at Divadlo Radost, but soon returned, and he has been performing in Ostrava ever since.
