In celebration of the Royal Opera of Versailles' 250th anniversary, André Grétry’s famed eighteenth century masterpiece returns to the stage as the company’s first full production since 1789. Hervé Niquet and Marshall Pynkoski deliver a reimagined take of the classic comic opera, depicting the legendary tale of captivity and rescue of King Richard I of England. Conveying music, costumes and sets transport the audience back to the Marie Antoinette period, in this anniversary performance.
