Lohengrin
Elsa is falsely accused of murdering her brother. A mysterious knight offers his help, on one condition - she must never enquire about his identity. Conspiracy and intrigue entice Elsa to undermine her faith in her rescuer and break her promise. Now she must pay a high price. Spanish opera and theatre director Calixto Bieito leads the audience through his artwork at Berlin State Opera, with this great romantic opera. His interpretation of Wagner‘s “Lohengrin” depicts love, hate, hope and belief. Reality and fantasy are seamlessly blended to form a story rich in contrast.
