Socrate il sopravissuto / come le foglie
Based on Antonio Scurati’s novel, this Anagoor production expresses the formation of conscience and education, blending tragedy with philosophy. It transports its viewers between the hours preceding the execution of Socrates, as narrated by Plato in Phaedo, and the moment when student Vitaliano Caccia shoots dead the matriculation board, except the history and philosophy teacher, exhibiting the battle waged against western thinking. This powerful performance, nominated for Show Of The Year at the UBU Awards 2016, raises questions pertaining to teachers’ knowledge and their disciples’ doubts.
