Médeia
Based on the ancient tragedy written by Euripides, this performance set in modern times, mixes tragicomedy with puppetry and presents a contemporary lecture on women’s vulnerability. The story unfolds through a group therapy session, as four women explore relevant relationship and gender-role issues to support each other with compassion, acceptance and inclusion, since “...by letting ourselves go through these emotions… we leave them behind. We can let them go and reach forgiveness.” Médeia received the THEALTER Festival Special Award in 2019.
