The Bear
This comedy-opera based on Anton Chekhov's masterpiece was written by Iryna Hubarenko back in 1989, but it was first staged in 2015. Director Anton Litvinov and the Hronotop.ua team created the production as a mobile opera, available for any location. This story is about a widow who plunges into a mournful and nostalgic state and isolates herself from the world. Her solitude is concluded with an unexpected visit from Smirnov's creditor, who demands immediate repayment of the deceased's debt. The landlady's refusal causes a protracted dispute, at the end of which comes another unexpected guest - love, which forces the characters to play by their own rules.
