Michal Spratek
Michal Spratek is a Czech set and costume designer. He studied set design at DAMU in Prague and began collaborating with the National Theatre Brno during his studies. Today, he works as a sought-after creator in theatres across the Czech Republic, shaping the overall visual identity of productions. Recently, he has established a close partnership with director Hana Marvanová on a bold adaptation of Čapek's War with the Newts for the Příbram Theatre, and with director Jiří Š. Hájek on the successful production of The Intouchables for the Kladno Theatre. Audiences can also see his set and costume designs in Plzeň or at the West Bohemian Theatre in Cheb. Beyond the stage, he is active in audiovisual projects. A major international achievement is his work as part of the set design team for the American TV series Interview with the Vampire. He also applies his artistic talent to commercial shoots for global brands and music videos, including work for singer Vojtěch Dyk.
